RESET PROTOCOL: DAY 2
Soften, Release & Let Go
A 30-minute guided practice with Rebecca Cohen
Welcome back to Day 2 of the Reset Protocol.
Today's practice is an invitation to soften, release, and let go of what your body may no longer need.
Rather than pushing for a deeper stretch or trying to force a particular outcome, we'll use breath and movement to explore what happens when you allow the body to settle.
Today's Focus
Softening, releasing, and creating space
Today's practice incorporates gentle twists, forward folds, hip-opening movements, and grounding postures while keeping the breath steady and relaxed.
You'll be encouraged to prolong the exhale when possible and notice where you can soften rather than hold or brace.
Today's Practice
Set aside about 30 minutes for yourself.
Before you begin:
- Find a comfortable, quiet space.
- Have your yoga mat available.
- Keep blocks, a cushion, or a blanket nearby if you use them.
- Modify any movement to suit your body today.
- Remember that softening doesn't mean forcing yourself into a deeper position.
After Your Practice
Take a few moments to notice what has changed.
Ask yourself:
- Where do I feel softer or less tense?
- What happened when I stopped trying to push?
- How does my breathing feel?
- Is there anywhere in my body that feels more spacious?
You don't need to analyze the experience. Just notice what is there.
Your Reset for Today
As you move through the rest of your day, notice whether you can carry some of that sense of softness with you.
What happens when you give yourself permission to release rather than hold on?
Tomorrow, we'll bring our attention toward the center of the body.
